In the heart of Toronto’s historic Garment District, Ace Hotel Toronto delivers with beautiful design from Shim-Sutcliffe Architects. With creative usage of Endicott’s Medium Ironspot #46 thin brick, the 14-story hotel invites guests into its lobby with layers of arches that start with the exterior brickwork. The use of the red brick combines a timeliness building material with intricate coursing to give a complex feeling of warmth and swagger to the building. As the light changes throughout the day the sheen of the Endicott Ironspot brick gives life and movement to the façade.
