Job Summary
Oversees the clay process, ensuring the machines continue to run properly to produce Endicott Clay Products and meet the production demand.
Essential Functions
Demonstrates knowledge of the mechanism of the machines being operated.
Must be able to fix minor issues to keep the machine and/ or line running.
Examines product using visual, feel and sound to determine defects.
Measures the length of the product, using gauges to verify conformances to specifications.
Must be able to differentiate between colors.
Compares product color, shape, and texture to verify conformance to standards.
Discards defective products for reuse.
Observes the cutting machine in operation to ensure even stock flow and detect jamming, improper feeding, or foreign materials.
Cleans and lubricates machines, conveyors, or blades, by following factory-suggested procedures.
Communicates with the supervisor or specified personnel of deviations from specifications, machine malfunctions, or the need for equipment maintenance.
Maintains a clean and clutter-free work area.
Follows all Health & Safety Procedures.
Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly.
Must be able to take direction and work well with others.
Must be able to work under stress and meet deadlines.
Must be able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.
Must be able to successfully pass annual Lockout/Tagout Training.
Must be able to perform the following required.
ACCOUNTABILITY
This position reports to the Shift Supervisor with no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED and one year of service or previous experience in machine operation preferred.

Job Description
Job Title: General Laborer
Salary Level: Hourly, Nonexempt
Job Summary
Loads, inspects, packages and palletizes tile product to fulfill customer's orders in a repetitive work environment while exercising all safety procedures explained by Endicott Clay Products.
Essential Functions
Loads tile bricks onto the conveyor while watching for malfunctions of the tile splitter;
Unloads bricks from conveyor while watching for defects in bricks;
Assist in the bundling process to make sure bricks are placed in the right sequence to help prevent chipping;
Examines product using visual, feel and sound to determine defects;
Measures length of product, using gauges to verify conformances to specifications;
Compares color, shape, texture, of product to verify conformance to standards;
Must be able to differentiate between colors;
Sorts products according to size, color, or other specifications;
Discards defective products for reuse;
Notifies supervisor or specified personnel of deviations from specifications, machine malfunctions, or need for equipment maintenance;
Observes machines which automatically breaks, carries, straightens, waxes and straps product for proper working conditions;
Counts number of product inspected, and stacks or arranges for further processing, shipping, or packing;
Makes adjustment for defected product making sure the correct number is in package;
Palletizes, and shrink wraps product for shipment;
Must keep work area cleaned and free for debris;
Must follow all Health & Safety Rule set forth by Endicott Clay Products at all times including but not limit to all proper PPE.
Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly;
Must be able to work under stress and deadlines;
Must be able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned;

Job Summary
